10 reasons why one might hate India

Most of us who are born here in India or the land previously known as ‘Sone ki Chidya’ share a special bond for this nation inspite of many loopholes in this nation.

Although we have many positive factors that we can show off but let’s be courageous enough today to know-it-all, I mean about our loopholes as well.

This article highlights 10 factors that makes the writer hate India:

1. Power cuts

2. Indian babus

3. No access to historical documents

4. Discrimination against the white tourist

5. Paranoia about maps

6. Photographs

7. Politicians

8. Neglect for the environment

9. Traffic

10. Corruption

indians are the only people in the world who copy everything which is too cheap. They might not realize it but they are. That is why i didn’t bother pressing the caps lock key to start my country’s name with a capital leter.

Hypocrisy is the basis of Indianness.More than 700 million Indians do not have toilet and access to drinking water. This is the biggest miracle i could not understand till today.Frankly you have not understood India at all.More than 70% of Indians feel that they have got nothing to do with the 10 points you have mentioned.

just politicians are enuff reason to make us hate india...they are disgusting.
the other 9 factors are thanks to politicians only.

hi all,

let me share my views on this. i worked literally for one month to collect followin data base to prove why india is lagging.

Take example of any politician in the country who is head of any board/commitee/chairman.

1. Sharad Pawar : President of BCCI

Now tell me what knowledge he has about the cricket in depth.

2. Laloo Prasad Yadab : Railway Minister for India

By which angle he looks as Railway Minister?

suppose if we have forgien delegate for visit, can he speak with him fluently in english. will he understand his US/UK accent.

Whether he knows the fact that if we undate the angle of banking of railay tracs by 15 degree then its lifespan will increase by 50 years.

3. Shri Pranab Mukherjee · Raksha Mantri (Defence Minister) :

what knowledge he has regarding defence. had he studied in any defence college or worked for any degence stream like army/navy/air force.

SS Dhindsa (Union Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers )

Does he hold any record of working with chemical and fertilizers industry so that he can implement his ideas in practical ways?

like this there are endless example with me .....

What i want to convey by this is where are we taking out great nation with this type of people.

One more pathatic fact in india is

Even for office boy post we have minimum educational of 10, 12+ or Graduation.

But to become a politician or head of any commitee there is no such criteria.

You can compare this information with any developed nation (US, UK , FRANCE and others) you will find one major difference

like , the Defence Miniseter will be having some background from Defence area.

The power minister will be have work exp in Power sector.

I still have hope that country will wake up today and we will in list of developed nation.

I completely agree with Pratyush...but not sure if we can blame just the government for this...India spends around 6% on education when the vast majority of our people are illiterate. We are lagging behind in infrastructure spend, health spend AND we don’t seem to have a great military to face of Pak. Where is all the money going?

i think india is to be respected. the west are making fun of our country and they are not comfortable with india. it is true that we might not be as respectful as canada. But the people from the west who do visit our country we should be proud that someone cares about our country.the media always shows poor people. they havent mentioned a thing about our country improving. we should show the west how our country is and beautiful.

being a democracy ,which we are sustaining for the last 55 years ,we have not learnt a lesson that in democracy we will deserve what we give .Rather than criticising the politician lets critisise our self. As they say it is easy to blame on others.

Democracy is really just a front. It is a caste and class dominated society. With the caste, not everyone has equal voicing and opinion, and there are so many human rights atrocities on a social level. Wife beating is still the acceptable norm.

well, as much as we would like to praise india for all its apparent ”economic development”, it still lags behind in almost all other spheres.
the problem is not india, the problem is nationalism and patriotism. if you havent yet realized, india has lost most of kashmir to pakistan and china, the map of india that the world sees is drastically different from what the indians, in india shown. the military has failed on all grounds. they have failed to protect us from terrorists, they have lost land and they are eating my hard earned money, isnt this just cause for hating india? though the army may want to claim its victory in the Kargil war, how come there is PoK? how come china controls Leh and parts of Mizoram and other eastern states? just as the Tibetians have been in denial of loss of their land we are in denial of loosing kashmir.
my nationality is my problem

I have worked in the IT industry for around 18 years. I have worked with a wide variety of Indians in the US and on offshored projects, for companies such as Anthem Blue Cross, HP, etc. etc. My professional opinion of them as a group is that I have never seen a more uniform bunch of lazy, work-shirking idiots in my life. In every case, these mush-mouthed morons do not want to work, want to do as little work as possible, with the worst possible quality imaginable. I have striven in vain to find a single iota of creativity in them. They are worthless and I would never hire an Indian to do anything. Set aside their alleged ability to speak English. Set aside their laziness. Set aside their stupid coding practices. They are rude and every one of them thinks they are brilliant. Puh-lease. If I never have to work with another Indian developer or spend an evening rewriting the total crap an Indian developer wrote, I will die a happy man.

Paranoia about maps? Photographs? .. What’s wrong with them? Care to elaborate more on that?

I see you can’t. I don’t really know who you are but all the points mentioned in your post are taken straight from this link: http://www.rediff.com/news/2006/jun/22claude.htm - written by Claude Arpi.

I think You might want to acknowledge the REAL writer the next time you nick someone else’s work.

Okay, so there’s been some confusion here on my behalf. Puja does seem to have given a link for the actual news item. My bad!

You should have just submitted this as a newslink because you really don’t have any original input in this, save enumerating the key words.

no safety for women, jurisdiction in india is corrupt, we have the largest democracy but still we are so backward and conservative society when it comes to womens rights, as we live in an patricharical society where men are given more importance in everything.
