The living example of hell on the earth is nowhere other than in our country-’Daurala‘.
Yes, Daurala is a same small town in Meerut district, which is well known across the country for its fine sugar. The famous three major fine sugar industries are located nowhere but in the middle of the population in Daurala.
Daurala undoubtedly may be any industrialist’s daydream but in reality, it is a nightmare for the common person residing there. The clear-cut population of more than 18,000 residents with each passing day is leading their life towards a death trap.
Hundreds of people are on their last legs dying of serious diseases like thyroid cancer, neurological disorders, nervous breakdowns, gastrointestinal ailments etc. Not only this, even the thousands acres of agriculture land is producing toxic crops.
A health study recently done by a NGO called Janhit Foundation has shown face of a very wretched state of group of people, which saw 192 deaths in the past five years in Daurala only.
The most horrible part of the shoddy situation is that no one is ready to do smthing in this regard be it– the industrialist or the Pollution Control Department or those who are directly concerned with development activities, government public welfare departments, or our esteemed satae and center governments.
The vital question is: who is responsible towards the suffering of these people?
