Suddenly Senior BJP leader L.K.Advani called for the disbanding of the National Advisory Council (NAC), stating that it was an extra-constitutional institution that had been created to advice the Manmohan Singh-led coalition government.
He has alleged NAC as ‘downgraded’, the high constitutional office of Prime Minister.
We can say that BJP views NAC as an unnecessary and extra-constitutional body, created solely to provide a cover to Congress President (Sonia Gandhi), so that she can exercise her power without any accountability in the Union Government.
