The moment students bought their university forms they must have read something of this sort in their admission book :
Each and Every student admitted to the College is required to maintain discipline and good conduct in and outside the college during the period of his/her stay in the college. Ragging in any from is strictly prohibited. (BOLD AND HIGHLIGHTED) Violation of discipline rules and acts of ragging are punishable according to Ordinances XV-B and XV-C of the University. Students are required to read these rules carefully and ensure good conduct of their wards at all times during their stay in the College.
Nevertheless, the moment juniors enter the campus, seniors by and large overlook this punch line in college admission book. So in order to curb this excitement of seniors as in ragging, the DU campus is all set this time with a high tech way to stop ragging, no police, no staff this time –spycams have been installed.
Rediff news:
Senior students planning to have fun by ragging fresh entrants in Delhi University colleges will have to cheat spy cameras this year, if they want to go scot free! University authorities have asked all 79 colleges under the institution to take all necessary steps, including installation of spy cameras in their campuses, to avoid any ‘unsolicited’ attempt by seniors to rag the fresh entrants
So this time seniors beware, don’t dare to rag juniors.
