HC: No interview for tiny-tot admissions



I am sure most of us still remember the agony that we or our kids went through during the taxing interview sessions for getting admission in nursery.



The usual question that all of us must have raised after coming out from the interview room would must have been - Is correct to interview kids for nursery admission?



Not only this, the moment young parents think to get their kids admitted to a good school, parents are advised to get ready for a grilling interview session with the Principal. Getting admission for your kid in a good school has become more of a competitive exam for both kids and parents.



After a long time, parent’s have heard some soothing news, as their agony has been wiped out completely by the Delhi High Court. Interviewing kids and parents for nursery entry has been banned by the . The government aided private schools cannot conduct such interviews without the permission of the court.



The bench of acting Chief Justice Vijender Jain and Justice S N Aggarwal have passed this verdict as the schools’ managements failed to come out with any suitable reply on the issue, despite the court’s earlier direction on December 9, 2005, banning such interviews.



This decision is definitely going to bring relief to tiny tots and a smile back on the face of parents.
