Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla reached India on the last leg of a three-nation tour that has taken them to Egypt and Saudi Arabia as well. The 57-year-old Prince of Wales last visited India in 2003. This is his first visit with his second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall. The trip is low-key compared to the drone surrounding his trip to India with his first wife, the late Princess Diana, 14 years ago.
The couple will be travelling to Punjab and Rajasthan visiting admissible development projects spotlighting on organic farming, for which he hold special interest, and water conservation and he is anticipated to announce several initiatives on organic farming and water conservation. The royal couple is scheduled to meet Delhi’s top political, business and society leaders and diplomats at a reception organized by the British high commission
Major theme of his visits this time is- inter-faith harmony. The prince is likely to visit the Keshgarh Sahib Gurudwara in Punjab, one of the most important religious shrines of the Sikh community.
I think all three countries are imperative cohorts for the United Kingdom and we have strong optimism that this visit will rally round to develop further close relations with United Kingdom. This tour will be endorsing better understanding and open-mindedness between faiths, supporting environmental and conservation proposals and heartening cozy employment and training opportunities for young people.
