Soon, the Indian Army will be equipped with highly hi-tech weapons.It is sourcing efficient fighting machines across the world, seems we are all set to fight nuclear, biological and chemical wars. Moreover, the Indian Army is also doing its best to be self-reliant.



A conference held by Army Commanders will review the armed forces’ preparation to fight in an environment created by nuclear, biological and chemical war.



The week-long conference would observe country’s top nuclear and biological scientists disseminating India’s planning in field of nuclear and chemical warfare technologies with the Army’s top brass for the first time in India.



Lot of hard work has been done to transmute an normal soldier into a ‘robotized fighting machine’ along with this operational situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the northeast, State of health of the Army, budget expenditure management, creation of foreign language specialist officers and steps to make the top brass inspection more meaningful would be under the discussion topics.





This Conference, which will be opened by the defence minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, and will be chaired by Army Chief General JJ Singh where as Admiral Arun Prakash and Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi will also attend the conference.





I think that equipping the army with such a high-tech mechanism would turn our Indian Humble foot soldier into a system to transmit information and battle info to encourage development. But all that is to seen is will this conference will have some concrete results or will be end up as a just a discussion started and concluded by senior officers?
