Over the past 15 years, India’s identity has undergone one of the biggest makeover that any country has ever experienced.



Today Indians are recognized for not only their intelligence and aptitude but also for shaping the world as well. Two Indians have figured among five South Asians who are on the list of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people, portrayed as ’shapers of the world’.



Vikram Akula joined Nandan Nilekani, Infosys Founder and President, as one of two Indians to reach and open their account in the list of 100 most influential people.



Nilekani founder ,president of Infosys Technologies Ltd,is one of the Indian entrepreneurs known for creating the new reality that has produced this new Indian image.Vikram is recognized for his vision and leadership as the Founder and CEO of SKS Microfinance, one of the world’s fastest growing microfinance institutions, and for his dedication of improving the lives of the poor in India.





The annual list that celebrates the lives and ideas of the world’s most influential people includes big names and global leaders such as Bill Clinton, Bill and Melinda Gates and George W. Bush.
