Once more police and women organizations are all geared up with a silly drafted rule to control crime against women, now in Madhya Pradesh.
Yet again, the topic — ‘how women should dress up’ has raised its ugly head.
Gulf news reveals:
Moral police is on the prowl in Madhya Pradesh. A fortnight after a ban on fashion shows in government-run colleges, the women’s commission of the state is considering a dress code for girls in educational institutions.
The commission has suggested a ban on the wearing of skirts in schools and colleges and a strict dress code to control incidents of crime against women.........
I wonder why the educated masses of India give time to such illogical ideas. It is high time they realize that if western dresses or length of skirts would have been the real cause, then rapes would not have been at rise in rural areas.
I think now our police will bee seen with measuring tapes outside colleges, so as to seize and punish those with shorter skirts.
