The reservation isue will make or break this 50-odd years old nation of ours one day. My money is on break up.



Now some more nonsense: what about reservation for senior scientists in space and defence research organizations?



The Chairman of the National Scheduled Caste Commission, Suraj Bhan said:

premier scientific research centers like Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) should be opened up for reservations for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.

Bhan is of the view that his proposal will aid SC\ST candidates and along with this will put a stop to the pestering that SC/ST candidates have to face in premier organizations like ISRO.



The real catch in the whole story is that here SC\St candidates are carping about the discrimination with them in every field. CNN-IBN Investigation Team has revelaed that there are 13 SC\ST candidates in ISRO were not given promotions inspite of good assesements.



ISRO scientist Vasudevan Amudavel said:

I find discrimination everywhere. Be it recruitment policies or in promotion practices

As per them their fight for an ‘equal status’ has just begun but one point that is to be made clear is what would they like to say about the exclusive benefit government is giving them,- I mean reservation.



What a smart move reservation on one side, demand of equal status on other side!
