This is not the first time when fiction has been converted into a real life incident of crime. I am referring here to the recently held UTI bank robbery by a man claiming to be a human bomb and mugging 40 lakh.



This whole design and idea of robbery was on the whole picked and utilised from Surender Mohan Pathak’s fiction novel ‘ Zameer ka Qaidi’. The Police have seized main accused, Sandeep Bhatnagar.



Hope this live robbery episode givesa real kick to sale of novel. As it is, sales of hindi pulp novels are on a decline after the deluge of daily soaps.
