KPS Gill, whose reputation for deplanting the separatist militancy in Punjab in the 1990s has made him earn the appellation of a ’super cop’, will now help the Chhattigarh government to tackle the Maoist insurgency.
70 years old Gill has been offered an authority to counter-terrorism with a free hand, on an annual contract and his tenure will begin from this month.
